I don't give a shyt if Pujols, Manny, Barry, Vladimir, A-Rod did steroids, man. They are some of the most remarkable hitters I've ever seen with my own eyes. What they've accomplished, the runs they went on, etc...it's just ridiculous when you watch it.

hes gonna financially ruin him

Going the Lance Armstrong route. I think pujols' quick decline is because of age not ped. There have been rumors that he is 4 years older than he really is for most of his career. Father time just caught up to him. Unlike other players, Albert has never even been rumored to take ped.

As for verlander, it's easy to see why he is having a poor session. He is 30 and threw almost 1000 innings over the last 4 years. That just caught up to him, and he had a bad year in 08.

“I know people are tired of athletes saying they are innocent, asking for the public to believe in them, only to have their sins exposed later down the road. But I am not one of those athletes, and I will not stand to have my name and my family’s name, dragged through the mud.

“I am currently in the process of taking legal action against Jack Clark and his employers at WGNU 920AM. I am going to send a message that you cannot act in a reckless manner, like they have, and get away with it. If I have to be the athlete to carry the torch and pave the way for other innocent players to see that you can do something about it, I am proud to be that person. I have five young children and I take being a role model very seriously. The last thing I want is for the fans, and especially the kids out there, to question my reputation and character.”

“I’ve said time and time again that I would never take, or even consider taking, anything illegal," Pujols said in a statement after Friday's game. "I’ve been tested hundreds of times throughout my career and never once have I tested positive. It is irresponsible and reckless for Jack Clark to have falsely accused me of using PEDs. My faith in Jesus Christ, and my respect for this game are too important to me. I would never be able to look my wife or kids in the eye if I had done what this man is accusing me of.

Maybe the Angels can get of of his contract:ehh:

If It's PEDs they won`t have a shot because he won't fail 3 tests. At most they can get out of maybe 2 years.

Now if he really is older than he reported, they could probably sue him for fraud and void whats left of the contract.

It has happened before, but it's usually with International Free Agents. Club A signs some player they think is 17 and gives him a nice bonus. A couple months into the deal, it turns out he is lying about his age, so the Club either voids the contract or renegotiates. It gets trickier when its an established player.

Miguel Tejada and Wandy Rodriguez both lied and it come out while they were on Major League rosters. The clubs didn`t chose to take any action, but then again, they don`t owe as much money to those players. Its also hard to prove an allegation like that for players out of the Dominican.

This is why I say everyone in the NFLPA should be fukking shot. They're playing in the most dangerous sport in the world, the most popular sport in the country and have the biggest televised event in the country (SB) and these nikkas cant even get guaranteed contracts. This nikka pujols still gonna be getting paid 10milly after the contract is expired?? :mindblown::mindblown::mindblown::mindblown:

nikkas are playing the wrong sport

Pujols went to high school in the U.S. and went to college in Kansas City. Exactly what incentive did he have to lie about his age?

Who knows, but the rumors have been around for years, and there is that whole cliche about smoke and fire. Who knows if they are true, but you never hear any rumors about Pedro's age or A-Rod's age.

One Miami Herald beat reporter states he already has a problem with potential free agent signee Albert Pujols(notes). In his article, Dan Le Batard questions the validity of Pujols' age.

"The Marlins believe Pujols to be older than the 31 he claims to be. It doesn't matter if the offer is $190 million or $225 million, it is still a breathtaking move for this group, which hates long-term contracts and prefers to work the system with young, cheap talent," Le Batard writes.

It’s not quite Rick Reilly challenging Sammy Sosa to pee in a cup, but SI.com’s Jon Heyman today tried to reopen the debate on Albert Pujols’ age:

If albert pujols wants to beat $200M 9-yr cardinals offer, he should produce birth certificate. skepticism abounds over 31 claim

Pujols, who was born in the Domincan Republic but who went to high school in Missouri, has been dogged by age rumors since before he was drafted and in particular since he proved to be a man among boys upon debuting with the Cardinals in 2001. Many believe that he’s two or three years older than his listed age.

From Baseball Prospectus in 06

Even if there`s truth to the old rumor that he may be two years older than his listed age, Pujols is still capable of putting up Bonds-like numbers. He`s Mozart with a bat, a very smart baserunner, a plus defender at first base, and well-liked and respected in the community.

and BP in 02

2002

He's older than advertised, by at least three years according to some estimates. It was apparently a not-so-open secret in his college program, but the party line is that he “graduated early” from high school in the Dominican Republic. From a practical standpoint, who really cares? His age is most germane to issues such as his likely career totals, not whether he can help the Cardinals. Pujols can mash the ball and will continue to do so into the foreseeable future. If he plays third base, he'll be the best third baseman in the National League in 2002.

Who knows how old he is, and I`m just killing time at work since I`m on OT right now working a double, but I do find it interesting, that nobody said anything about steroids, but all the rumors are about age. Hell it's probably more likely, that Pujols himself doesn't know how old he really is. His parents might have given him the wrong age. I've heard about it happening first hand from my grandparents in San Juan.

BTW, Jack Clark has been fired, and Pujols trainer is denying that he ever told Clark anything about Pujols and steroids.
