I’m only in the first 2 mins or so, but I agree with Arian that you have to see the other side at times for the sake of your argument. Classic debating strategy.

Look at what the other side is coming from, so you can break down their ideas, while strengthening yours so that you can shut down any fallacy or point they may have against your opinion.

Now you shouldn’t do this with every argument, because some things are just too dumb to even try and justify, but if it’s an opinion that you deem relevant enough to argue about, why not :yeshrug:

Very underrated comment rep coming soon :salute:

I am trying to remember why I dont really fw her tho, but I forgot:patrice:, I think she one of those black twitter feminist

Listening to her and watching how she's acting in this video should remind you.

She's a highly opinionated, close minded, disrespectful bytch that thinks she's way smarter than what she really is.

I wish Arian would've heard her say he is acting like a white woman so he could've destroyed her pride on camera.

Arian's perspective is worth having but I wish there was someone else that could challenge him as eloquently tbh. I agree with some notions but as he gets to the root of some stuff Kanye has said, he ignores what Kanye didn't say and what Kanye's position in those situations are.

Capitalism... getting what you work for :mjlol: Yea ok

Isn't one of the key tenants of Capitalism the "free market"?

That's getting what you work for.

Shout out to Arian Foster. The only logical one with an open mind.

None of them couldn't come up with a rebuttal to his point.

Exactly.

He really wasted his time up there.

The rest of them nikkas need to stick to hip hop beefs and LAHH top shyt.

This convo is way out of their league.

He wasn't logical at all. It's just that the only one capable of arguing back was not allowed to (Rory). You guys are easily impressed by someone who is eloquent just because everyone around them is inarticulate. Joe Budden is a horrible moderator for one, and he should not be the one setting the tone of something of this nature and I like Joe. But whenever there is a serious social discussion to be had he is out of his depth. Arian Foster basically did what I did my first semester back from college and used new key words to seem smarter and more insightful than I actually was.

His flaw was that he preached of false equivalence. I do not need to here what you have to say if what you stand for is so clearly toxic and well-established that the only thing worth doing is quashing it and you. The idea of black people being dependent on white people and complaining despite not being oppressed is a well-established principle and he knows it and disagrees with it. He even said that is an in-house conversation and by putting it out in public you invite white people to dismiss our grievances. The best argument against him was himself, but they were not smart enough to jump on it.

The only point I heard him make was: (paraphrasing) "if you disagree with the beliefs of someone, don't respond emotionally by immediately dismissing them because their beliefs doesn't fit your accepted belief paradigm, state specifically what it is about their belief that you disagree with, and be open to discussion on why they think or feel the way that they do."

That's a very logical point.
