Grown adults believing in demons and nonsense should receive pushback. It's no different than believing in astrology: corny.

The US often has moral panics during times of social change. In the 60s-90s it was almost entirely about rock and metal music. I'd argue the "devil" shyt in hip hop is ten times lazier today than anything those other genres did at the time. It's just marketing and bullshyt. Whereas in the 70s, Robert Plant was really corresponding with Aleister Crowley and participating in rituals. Ozzy Osbourne did the same. VS some rapper lazily throwing some devil aesthetics in a video today and scaring layman in order to generate engagement/clicks/views. Who cares.
Its all the same thing. Based on the info and knowledge i received studied and seen, I disagree with you WHOLEHEARTEDLY. But its Your opinion...Your perspective :yeshrug:

theres 100's of 1,000's of people just as talented as kendrick lamar. but why did he get that spot? you gotta sacrifice something to be famous so they know you will play the game and do what they say. then you get rewarded with fame and fortune, even if it's not for a long time.

He was the last act that a Dr. Dre co-sign would ever work for.

you were able to look at the linear progression of his music from when Jay Rock was the top act at TDE, to Section 80. to him getting the Interscope machine behind him.It wasn't like he had some magical initiation and somehow it unlocked Dr. Dre production and better rapping abilities.

What you're saying is literally the rap version of "White people weren't the ones to build anything this complex, so Aliens had to make it"

I don't see what the uproar is about, as posters say the same thing here regularly :gucci:

When I hear a lot of these nikkas rap and look at their very faces I see pure evil. From Chief Keef to Fredo to YWNBX Melle or whatever his name is. And then there are the people with the power behind the scenes of the industry... Anybody mad at what the dude said is just because you don't like to be told that what you embrace is foul and rotten

Cause bishop Lamont didn't have the star power :manny:

Kendrick was able to create his own momentum beyond dr dre and snoop dogg cosigns because he had something to say

His music resonated with people. He had a interesting story and brought new sounds to the game instead of retreading cookie cutter shyt

No disrespect to bishop Lamont. He just was never gonna pop. None of the aftermath guys did besides game. Cause none of em really had it in them and dre damn sure wasn't gonna pull it out of them :mjlol:
