Great interview.

If Punk could get himself up to a competitive level in MMA, Dana White would be all over that. A lot of MMA fans like to shyt all over any pro wrestlers who make the jump, but it's a fact that a dude who can talk and play the heel is money. Bottom line of course is that he has to be able to fight, and he's 35, so if he's gonna make the move he should do it now. I'm kinda hoping he does, even though I like him in WWE.

I think it'd be pretty cool to see him do it. Like you said, with the way a lot of MMA fans love to shyt on pro wrestling, he could play the heel role to perfection like Chael Sonnen does so well and get them to tune in to see him get his ass kicked. And even if it was just for one fight, it'd have a lot of eyes on it, between wrestling and MMA fans.

Exactly. He could make a lot of cash even in a one-shot deal.

Even washed-up boxer James Toney talked shyt for a few months and ended up getting $500K when he fought Couture (and that was barely even a fight). Punk's a much better talker than Toney, and he's a lot better known by today's fans. He should seriously consider it when his WWE contract expires, and he could always jump back to WWE after the big payday.

Punk would probably be happier doing a RVD/Jericho/Brock kind of deal from now on. Of course, it's diminishing returns (literally) when you do that, but physically & mentally, I think he'd be better off.

“I don’t know,” he said about whether the network will be good for the wrestling business. “I’ll tell you when I get my pay-per-view checks because I still don’t know what’s happening with that.”

You'd think the company would let them know how this affects their pay. Then again, the company itself probably doesn't know what it's going to do.

As far as the real story about what happened between him and Beadle at Tribute to the Troops, he said, “I thought me and Beadle were pals. She had this group of women with her and she walked past me and she said some disrespectful [expletive] and I was like, ‘Whoa!” Then, my girlfriend [AJ Lee] pulled her aside in front of the same group of people, and she introduced herself, and said, ‘Don’t be disrespecting my boyfriend,’ and Beadle just went, ‘Okay,’ and walked away and that was it.”

According to CM Punk, Beadle said, “What’s up, ****face?” and then high-fived one of the women she was with. He also noted that he and Beadle are no longer friends.

This is comical middle-school shyt to me.

Sounded to me like Punk was trying to save face for AJ. If you watch Beadle you get the vibe that she's a total ho. I guarantee that "what's up fukkface?" was her way of being flirtatious. Then AJ catches feelings and goes nuts. Punk can't say in an interview that his girlfriend overreacted so he's just like "oh, Beadle is disrespectful/we ain't friends :mjpls: "

Punk downplaying that Beadle story something serious :heh: He damn well knows he got thousands of tweets on it. Also sounding a little salty toward D-Bry. Interesting point on the PPV cheques.. I still think they will be okay in the end, especially when it comes to WM.

Peep the Undertaker's urn near the sink... :lupe:

I'm copping that shirt for the gym too. Checked the site out & it's kind of based on hockey enforcers...then you see hockey fights on Punk's TV in the background. :ohhh:

Good interview though. What's the story with Punk's jitz? Is he black belt level with a white belt or what and he makes a great point about how they'll be paid for PPV's with the WWE Network. Should be interesting when that plays out.

....and who IS going to induct the Warrior? Could Vince do it? Kane? :patrice:

Beadle. :cmmad:

Punk's more than likely low-level (doesn't mean that he couldn't kick your ass); it doesn't seem like he's been training that long. Given the schedule he's on, I don't think he's actually had the mat time to get really good or become a candidate for belt advancement.

I find it astonishing that they haven't told them about how PPV bonuses will be doled out in light of them moving to the network. That seems like need to know information for the workers (it also seems like something that WWE hasn't quite figured out yet, so whatever...).

Given this interview, though, I'm not sure about Punk coming back after his contract's up. He seemed pretty worn down when talking about his status and the E in general. I'm not sure if he'll retire, but I do think that if he does come back, it'll be on a part-time basis rather than another long-term contract. It just doesn't seem like he really wants it that badly anymore (and, from what I've seen since about October, his ring work backs my thought up).

Breh Punk aint leaving WWE. His skinny fat ass has NO chance of having any kind of MMA success. Dude will probably take a few months off and then come back around Royal Rumble time next year
