You can take it out the jar and heat it on the stove until it is melted, try putting good oil in it like grapeseed oil, then wait for it to harden a lil and beat it for a few min. That should make it silky smooth.

Grape seed oil doesn't really have a smell, but u can try it without diluting the shae with the oil first to see if it will get soft enough for you
