Some of you are missing the main focus of 'The Purge', (as the concept is shown in the movie) it's essentially class warfare on the lower class, which is what made the second movie pretty powerful for a summer horror thriller. Where is most of the crime and chaos already happening? Lower income neighborhoods. Who can afford to protect themselves from the Purge? The upper middle class and above. Those living in middle/poverty class are who the rich use as toys not only for personal torture, but attacking the community, by using it's own members against each other.

My friend was like 'I don't get this purge thing....just go on vacation...' he clearly misses the point, that those who would be impacted by the Purge, cannot afford to leave. So, some of you with the sexual harrassment, (sound like the dude from Training Day in Purge 2, creepy shyt) murder, etc etc if your crimes aren't directed upward, you are playing into the agenda. People's self interest and deep rooted selfishness has them destroy their own. I actually really like The Purge movies, as they bring up interesting social commentary.
