You can tell the story of Hip-Hop without mentioning a lot of nikkas - doesn't mean it would be a great story.

Early/mid 2000s Clipse gave that Neptune sound major credibility. Helped usher in the entire skater/bboy type era that Wayne mastered.
no the hell they didn't....be reality. Neptunes got credibility for putting up major hits for jay (brit, usher and mystikal as well), that credibility gave them the ability to start a vanity label for b-list acts like clipse and kelis

the clipse are YG to the neptunes Mustard, clearly they aint as bad of rappers as YG, but the star and talent was the producer. pusha would be making neo dust rap right now had he not been linked with the Neptunes which got him A list access and ability to get picked up by Ye.

this board overrates push, lupe, game, and lloyd banks like none other

Push best work is with Kanye though, and Lupe isn't overrated, he is one of the greatest lyricists in rap.

Jim’s coming from an impact POV, on some “these are the 50 greatest rappers that mattered the most” type shyt…and I can easily make that list without even considering Push …there’s a lot of “nice” rappers out there…Ransom is nice, T-Rock from HCP is nice…50 greatest though?

You can tell the story of Hip Hop fairly easily, without mentioning Pusha T

Not a real valid point because you can't tell the story of Hip Hop without mentioning Mc Hammer and Vanilla Ice either.
