The last person to express excitement to me about Pusha T was a white woman who got his album from her younger brother. The person before that was a suburban herb college nikka. When I talk to nikkas I know who been fukkin with rap forever they all think his cocaine c00nin is boring and his lyricism is way overstated. The white bloggers started the overhyping, and a loyal stanbase kept it going. Nobody cares about this goofy fast food sandwich advertiser like that.

How is this picking sides though? Jim Jones made a valid claim that has nothing to do with Drake. It would different if he said Drake washed Pusha in the battle or somehow compared the two.
You can feel Push ain’t Top 50…but all the “all he talks about is a bunch of cocaine that he probably never sold…” energy got some salt on it bruh, imo he throwing them shots cause he’s cool with Drake
Jada as a rapper has been more popular and influential. cant just rate solo discogs. has Push even been on a huge Ye hit? seriously asking because I stopped following after Clipse.
Jada has been a part of some huge songs hit-wise or culture wise. Benjamins, Jenny from the Block, Resevoir Dogs, New York, nikkas Done Started Somethin, 24 hours to Live, etc...Jada solo discog not great, will give you that, but why Push gotta be 29? yall think he that much better than Slick Rick in ANY way? Too Short is better. I just dont understand the criteria I guess. he's not better than Twista in anyway. to have him ahead of Chuck D and Busta, is super-laughable. Jeezy is better. Nelly is better. I mean I may give Push a nod over Meek. but he dont have no Dreams and Nightmares.

Echoing others on here, I think Pusha has a case for one of the 50 greatest rappers ever........but he wouldn't be high on that Top 50 so it is in no way crazy to leave him off...
He's marginally Top 50. He could be on, he could be off. His pen, his flow, his music isn't on such a level he should be considered a lock; but he is on a high enough level he warrants consideration..
I've made the following claim for years, have said it on here, will hold true to it: Clipse are an All-Time GOAT duo, have an argument as Top 10. That's the foundation of his legacy for me, being part of one of the greatest duos ever. I'll have the debate in a separate thread but the run those dudes went on in a short period of time is iconic and the music they put out is legendary...
So Push's legacy is:
•one half of a GOAT duo in early career
•mid-career rise as a popular, relevant soloist
•remaining relevant late into his career
He has a Top 50 case. He isn't a lock, though...
