Suit jacket is stupendous. Two thumbs up.

But I agree with @Art Barr ....them pants and shoes are both no bueno.

And the whole "powder" concept is lame, even though the actual design is good.

What do you mean?

Theme: Superfine: Tailoring Black Style
(Dress code: tailored for you)

The museum exhibition theme and dress code are the same thing.

Like when it was Jackie Kennedy or Catholicism, do you think people were supposed to come there dressed as Jackie or the pope :mjlol:

Superfine is a play on SuperFLY.

This goes a bit into the context - Why the Met Gala's Black Dandy theme is a moment in American history - Sludge Mag

So it should be from the Zoot Suits/Jazz Era, up until the Pimps

Take that theme, and update it, modernize it, make a play off of it.

So you should be seeing dudes and females on that steez.

You can go through the looks, and most of these folks (and more importantly their stylists and image consultants) couldn't be bothered.

Look at 2024 - where it was "Garden of Time" - practically everything was floral themed and vegetal.
Folks were more than willing to do that.

Again, dress code and museum theme are different. Some people seem to confuse the two, as evidenced not only by your post, by some only-headline-reading people too.

2024 the dress code was (Dress code: The Garden of Time), 2025 it was (Dress code: tailored for you).

Personally, I don't give a fukk about what some people I don't know wear to a private charity event. Just like to keep up with current news and find it weird that people hate google :yeshrug:
