If you like the Borgias you will like Rome. Spartacus is a good drama for guys lots of violence and sex.

The Tudors is a different monster it is more a slow drama and I think you will get the best out of it if you are familiar with the reign of Henry the eighth. But even i admit at some points it gets really boring. But you get to see superman really act.

If you have Netflix i recommend the European Borgias which I found more enjoyable then the American Showtime version.

I was :to: when Borgias got cancelled, good to know there is eu version tho.

Tudors are alright but I got really bored with them in about 2nd season, been meaning to finish Rome too for quite some time, its better than Tudors, but I dont really remember where I stopped watching this.

Spartacus is different from all these shows, it has WAY more action, although I really enjoyed it, watched every ep.

American Borgias was always going to get cancelled. US viewers aint about that incest life. THats why Dexter waited until the final to get Dexter to fukked Debbie. If he had done it earlier in the series, that shyt would have quickly dropped in viewership :heh:

it was on showtime

it being cancelled prob had more to do with the responses it was not generating.

Dexter has a huge fan following but Borgias did not.

Rome would be a legit GOAT contender if didn't get cut so short. Watch that first. Plus, its only 2 seasons so you can knock it out quick.

If you're familiar with that period of Roman history theres alot more to appreciate with the show.

Thanks. Uppin for more heads to drop info.

As for being familiar with those time periods, I'm not really am. I just wouldn't mind watching shows that take place during those eras.

Rome is definitely great either way. The way they took documented events and added characters into it without contradicting the history was great tho.

I watched Tudors too and also got bored partway through. If you start with Rome it will probably be a smoother transition because it is also historical and political in nature. Spartacus would be great next for the action and constant plot twists and schemes. Season 1 and the prequel are Goat.
