If you can afford it, get an LG OLED. Accept no substitutes.
I would recommend this

I just typed 55 inch 4k tv and these were the results i didnt see any 8 seriesIf it's under a stack, not a Samsung 8 series/higher or LG OLED then you basically copping the equivalent of Chinese variant Jordans. The clear spongebob kinds
I would go with the HDR joint because the colors will look better and you'll be future proof for a while.I just typed 55 inch 4k tv and these were the results i didnt see any 8 series
whats the big difference besides HDR ? @Ciggavelli @Kamikaze Revy
i watch tv but maybe a hour a day before i sleeplike a law and order episode or married with children and i only own 2 games for ps4 that ive had like 3 years
is it worth the extra $400+?
You want HDR with a full-array. If you're getting a TV, might as well get the latest features. HDR is becoming more and more ubiquitous. I'd spend the little extra and get a full array backlit TV with HDR10. Also make sure all the ports are HDMI 2. Some cheaper models only have 1 HDMI 2 port. You want all 3 or 4 to be HDMI 2.0I just typed 55 inch 4k tv and these were the results i didnt see any 8 series

For your use...I think you'll be happy without it. You really gotta take an hour and check them out side by side at best buy but from the sound of it I think you'll be satisfied without HDR.
Again, just my preference, I think it's worth having. You can definitely see the difference between an HDR and non HDR image.
It's like the image has more depth and warmth to it. Kinda of hard to put it into words but hopefully you have an idea.
Either way, if you're just going for clarity alone, you can't really go wrong with a 4K samsung or LG.
To be honest, I still don't think there's enough 4K content readily available to make a 4K set a "must buy" right now. If I had to pick one or the other in my entertainment set up I would put the money towards audio if you already have a good 1080p set.
Went to best buy and looked around. Can tell the difference between the 8 series and 6 series definitely. The 6 series looked good. The 8 series looked
But then saw a UHD 4k Sharp 55N7000U , looked great and the price was low as shytis it cause of the brand Sharp isnt as popular as anymore ?
its $700 on amazon, was $600 at Best Buy65 inch was $800
is it getting discontinued ? Has HD10, looked great in person.. Am I missing something
@Ciggavelli whats wrong with this tv![]()
I agree. I have one myself. Great picture, 100% pure blacks, Bright colors in HDR. I still think it's the best TV out. Those Samsung QLEDs have me interested thoughCop the LG OLED. The 55 inch last year can be had for like 1500 or so (the B6)
The 55inch from this year (C7) is like 2500.
They are some of the best tvs in general and for gaming.

How much you paid?I went with the 55" MU6300 for the bed room, thinking of the 8 series 65" for the living room but the 6300 works fine for everything I watch so might just get another 6300
It was just hard for me to justify $400 more for basically HDR
the 120 hz compared to 60 hz is only thing that intrigues me actually
$750How much you paid?
Best Buy?$750
Then you don't understand a thing about XB1Xive been out the TV game awhile, no clue what difference would it make
