Kobe wouldn't have got along with Wade and was not about to be a teams top rebounder and de facto rim protector even at his peak. How quickly folks forget/ignore all Bron had to do for that "superteam".

Bosh would've been around the paint & on the boards....he still would've been Toronto Bosh if he played next to Wade and Kobe. He wouldn't have had to become Donyell Marshall 2.0 like he did playing next to LeBron because Wade and Kobe could kill from the perimeter and mid-range.

And he got slumped by that same 2012 OKC team LeBron beat in 5.

We couldn't stop Westbrook....we had the worst PG rotation in the NBA at the time with 0 defense.

He's shot more 3s in the two half seasons since Bron left than he did in the 4 full years he was there. That ain't got nothing to do with defensive boards or protecting the paint or guarding other teams bigs though. These were never glaring holes on any of the chip teams Kobe was on.

No. Lebron's defensive versatility, reboundingC and playmaking were pretty much vital those Heat seasons plus what would Kobe do when Wade or Bosh got injured like they did every year but the first year?

Kobe gonna play the 4 and try to guard Garnett? He gonna be efficient to make up for that lack of rebounding? You gonna have him guard David West?

Lebron anchored the Heat defense and was the fulcrum for our blitzing defense while Prime Kobe never had those responsibilities while also managing to be anywhere near as efficient which is what our entire offense was based off of.

Yeah, adding Kobe instead of Lebron would turn the Heat from one of the worst rebounding teams to much better if Bosh got to play closer.

Lebron guarded 3 and 4s, is ungodly durable and consistent, extremely efficient on offense, a defensive anchor, etc.

Lebron was Shaq-lite in the paint with elite playmaking and versatile defense. Kobe isn't that.

That's after playing with Bron.

If he never played with Bron, I don't see Bosh migrating into a 3pt shooter.

Chris Bosh only had 168 3pt attempts in his 509 games prior to playing with LeBron...in the 287 games during Bron's Heat era, Bosh took 352 3pt attempts. That's damn near double the attempts in half the amount of games:wow:

I just don't believe that Bosh playing alongside Wade and Kobe would've morphed into a Rashard Lewis breh:manny:

I just think Bosh in the paint with Haslem would've been more effective on the boards/protecting the pain/guarding other teams bigs with Kobe on the Heat than he was with Bron for the simple fact he would've been around the paint more:yeshrug:

Did I say this?:jbhmm:

I said Bosh would've been in the paint more...and he would've. Playing closer to the rim = more opps for rebounds, blocks that he didn't have while playing under Bron's regime. Defensively, 2010 Toronto Bosh > 2011-2014 Heat Bosh:yeshrug:

Playing with Bron forced him to become a stretch 4 due to the fact LeBron needed the paint to operate. Kobe didn't need the paint and Bosh would've stayed operating in his same spots he did in Toronto unafflicted which would lead to him being better defensively than what he turned into on the Heat by doing exactly what LeBron has Kevin Love doing today.
