Fam when black men speak out against white people all of a sudden it's fake outrage. Q-Tip was literally in the streets organizing and protesting after the Eric Garner murder non indictment.

nah, i think he just saw all the fukkery/attention surrounding her and banks beef, how she was responding to banks, and decided to school her before she said or did something ridiculously stupid, she from Australia breh, idk what their school curriculum is like but it seems like she had no idea how thin the ice was she was standing on. and like i said earlier, him doing it publicly on twitter prolly also schooled a lot of other people who forgot where this hip hop shyt came from (obviously this is all just my take on it)

I agree and Tip has some valid stuff. But there's so much to sort out here

All I seen her say was that Azeila had been trying since back in the day to go at her (ie when Banks had a deal and Iggy was still searching she would not recommend them hiring her). I get if she said some implied racial shyt about Banks attitude or her looks but I don't know if I've seen that yet.

She's absolutely a culture vulture and someone who has a very very limited view of Hip Hop (When she was on tour with Nas she said she was surprised how cool Nas was and "not like his fans" which meant her only interaction with a certain type of Hip Hop is reading what fans on the internet say vs. embracing the music) and we've seen videos of trying to be like Britney Spears before the rap thing popped off.

And Banks was absolutely wasn't wrong about how there appears to be an erasing of black artists to do black music in favor of white artists. I would also say however the fact that there black artists doing more white edm style music and indie hipster music has an effect on why a certain sound and look in music culture is being erased from what we traditionally consider black music (even if some of the music is dope ie Kanye) and I think Azeila could have expanded on that seeing as she was an example of that a couple of years ago.

My main thing is the whole back and forth seems hella unfocused on both sides. Banks has points ,but people saying its opportunistic of her and that she's also had her share of beefing and generalzing about the black community (dissing other black females and coming after them like she did Nicki and Angel haze) cant be ignored either.
And Q-Tip my man and always makes sense and approaches things in a well constructed manner like this, but I would again ask him "is all that getting to her when she doesn't understand the context". He could have written stuff more tightly to relate back to Iggy and why what she does specially required him to tell her like that.
Iggy could also could used this as a situation to address herself and defend herself because every now and then she comes up in interviews and seems like someone who is surprisingly self aware (like the same interview on Hip Hop DX about touring with Nas and working with TI) but its never shown enough.

That's the thing, twitter is not the best forum at all to have this valid discussion. Hell I would even take them battling on wax with points over that even if that runs in danger of also being an unfocused way to get a point across.
