Took me years to appreciate some of the vibes on this album. Like fine wine.

Two other albums that make me feel that way are Mos Def's The Ecstatic and The New Danger. I can play the all the way through now. It's like now that i'm at the age they were at mentally when they made it, i see where they were coming from musically.

I love being older.

Damn. Time flies. Seems like yesterday when this album dropped.

Yep! It was my freshman year of college. I had just discovered the unreleased (at the time) Kamaal the Abstract, so I was heavy into Tip's solo stuff and features.

Figure that life can be a thang, the wilderness is wildddd to me...

Kamaal The Abstract is very underrated. Great project. I love the Jazz influence on there too.

Johnny Is Dead is a great song too. Love the beat and his flow.

I’m wondering when he’s going to release “The Last Zulu”. We’ve been waiting for years lol.

Love Tip, he’s my husband in my head.

Off this I enjoyed We Fight, Gettin Up and Life Is Better the most. I also still play Kamaal, really enjoy it.
