You said yourself in this very thread youre looking at your purchase of an xbox one as funny in the light.

And youre proving my point. You are saying you needed a high end pc for tomb raider yet it still sold better on pc. So what does that tell you.

And again, you guys still havent explained how having millions of people on pc having no reason to purchase a one benefits the xbox one.

You keep talking about hownhigh end your pcs are and skipping over this question for some reason.

If you knew this would happen would you have still purchased your xbox? Youve said yourself the only reason you cop consoles is for the exclusives.

You are not a unique snowflake,pc gamers is a huge demographic.
Most people aren't playing ROTR on very high. I don't know how low they go, but the average PC gamer on steam has pretty low specs. If the game runs and looks the same, what benefit do you have for playing it on PC?

But yeah, I agree, for me, having an X1 is seeming less and less needed. They're still be some exclusives I'll want I'm sure, but there seem to be less and less of those. I don't regret buying my X1 (I like to have all options open and it's great for tv watching), but I see your point.

This game though, and those recommended specs, are pretty worrisome. All ultra is getting harder and harder to achieve on PC (and I have 2 of the best cards you can buy). I gotta upgrade soon to keep up and my shyt is only a year old :dead:

I am addicted to all ultra 60fps 1440p though. Not everybody is like that :manny:

Uhhh isnt that pretty much the entire point of the steam machines to entice console gamers to just go cop a gaming rig thats already set up?

The only picture being painted is that microsoft is cutting their losses and xbox one is a failed system thats now been devalued.
Those Steam machines are expensive and terrible value for the price. Theres a reason they ain't selling. The people who know better ain't spending the kinda money they charging for the specs and the people who don't know better ain't tryna spend that kinda money on a gaming machine in general. People were complaining at the prices of these consoles yet nikkas talkin bout "imma get a gaming rig" like one card won't cost the price of the entire consoles now. And that's a mid range card. A GTX 970 runs about 320-350 bucks. That's the price these current consoles are selling at. And that aint including what they gotta pay for the other components. And thats a MID tier card. shyt is NOT for casuals bro. Just to play games? Nah. The casual market is gonna stick with what's cheapest and easiest. Like it's always been.

Specs aside, this is good for Microsoft right? They're still getting licensing money and it'll still be on a Microsoft platform. Companies lose money on consoles anyway, right? Software is where it's at. Expanding your software user base has got to mean more money. Or am I missing something?

They've been pushing cross play anyway, what better to do it than with a much anticipated game?

Though it looks bad for the X1 on the surface, it's good for Microsoft in the long run. If they release it only on the win10 store (which I hope they don't :sadcam:), that's even more money in their pocket.

It's kinda a smart move on MS's side I think. (Big picture I mean) :jbhmm:

It doesn't make sense not to put games on PC anymore. It's like leaving money sitting on the table.

Microsoft makes money off software and services not hardware sales. The more people they can get to buy in to their ecosystem the better. Quantum Break is the windows 10 "system seller"
