Word, I forgot we supposed to change our opinion if it coincides with some white boy at Complex. Thanks for reminding me bruh.

i find it funny that someone thinks he's the most influential rapper of 2014. thats ridiculous on so many levels...

the dumb are mostly intrigued by the drum has never been truer.

It's not as ridiculous as y'all are making it out to be. :manny: Kanye, Drake, J. Cole, Jeezy, Meek, etc. all using the flow at one point or another. Of course Quavo didn't "invent" that flow, but to say Migos didn't popularize it today is just hate. "Most influential" might be reaching a little, but it's definitely the most borrowed flow of the year.

Props to Complex for this. I believe we already spoke on this cos they gave Coli credit.

Since they wrote this Kanye, Jay E and Jigga have used it.

They also gave Reese props. Complex on their grind man... they actually following, reporting and analysing the culture :salute:

Furthermore.. I know we like to post up pictures of the writers but we should also do a little research on them. That CAC's resume is pretty legit and he follows dancehall/reggae so I give him props for that. Overall, I don't have much problems with dudes like him or Rosenberg... it's the Needle Drop dudes who aren't involved in the culture I can't stand.

Jay Electronica used the flow in that new track with Jay-Z, why we singling out Quavo it's the Migos flow.

Exactly.. I'm pretty sure its white people out there that actually grew up listening to rap, not saying that's complex but us people at the Coli like running away any other race because they didn't "grow up" in it.

if we go by their huff ass logic.
, Gucci is the most influential rapper.
as, all the rappers with traction from that region who are new.
all bit flows, tone , voice and skillset from Gucci's meets project pat to bone influenced playbook
or needed, Gucci to gave them the rub to create a draw for them.

another reason, these lame mags and wack huff writers with no actual review skills.
nor history, of the regions and artist they talk about need to stfu.

that actual flow is twenty plus years old and was used by anyone from the fellowship, to early twista.
masquerades as cavalier at the blue gargoyle.

the shyt migos does is the same shyt Phil Collins did.
take one small iota of an obscure Marvin Gaye record.
then, use that couplet to make hits for his enitre career.
that is recognized as the genesis/air of the night style, of records, erroneously.

These nikkaz did not even search the site past one actual thread and a YouTube link.

props, for fukkin listing the coli.
yet, to act like biting is cool.
or accepted, and not supreme degradation.
while, listing das efx.
yet, never explaining why das efx twenty years ago went from one of the first longest drawing runs in rap.
followed up by pharcyde and busta rhymes, is culturally criminal.
these motherfukkers be trying to create a pass system in pr and print.
all just to look cool, by speaking on degrading skill twenty year outdated gangsta rap meets luke style bootie/lockdown records.
the shyt is bullshyt,...
when real talk,...
a decade ago in 2oo5.
Gucci, to pat were a running joke to these types.
who never would have noted their technical proficiency as wordsmiths with content.
which is easily, recognizeable.
as they only mention Gucci in degrading skill fashion from the shift in skill change wilt chamberlain in 2008.
when, Gucci was a more potent content rich heavier technical marvel since 2oo5.
