Except the point was that the dude was supposed to come across as a complete ass-hole even among the other ass holes.

It was also to show the kind of people that Juled called his "friends" and the kind of company that "hit men" keep to show the disgustingness of that world.

A racist jackass who didn't hesitate to throw racist slurs and insult to Jules, a badass, like nothing.

The dude is CASUALLY throwing that out while discussing how annoying it is they brought a dead dude into their garage. Not the fact that he's dead but that it's gonna annoy his wife.

The character is a jerk and racist ass
There are ways to show he is a racist person without using the n word. Its lazy writing and just made the scene awkward to watch.

I think its QT showing the irony of how some white people think. People seem to think if you're just singling out a certain set of people with racist undertones, its not bad if other parts of your life are involved with black people. Reminds me on that situation with those lil boys at the Jackie Robinson baseball team that got stripped, folks were saying dude couldn't have racist motives cause his wife is black. You singling out a certain group of said race, but saying not all are bad, is still racist. College humor made a funny ass youtube vid about it.

Goddamn are they angry in the comment section of that video.

Of course there is but, guess what? It was suppose to be uncomfortable and awkward. It was the entire purpose of showing the goddamn scene because this is supposed to be a "friend" in the industry he works in.

And QT is big at showing major character traits and giving glimpses into a person through the dialogue so that scene was very Tarentino.

You can say you don't like the scene or think he could have gone a different direction but this wasn't him just throwing the N-word around. He was using it to make a point which is what he typically does (Using conversation for a glimpse into the psyche of the characters rather than expository)

QT could be racist but I don't think that scene means anything. Same with Django. The N-word was used so commonly because it was supposed to show the racism was so ingrained into daily life of America, at the time.

weird how yall go from "white people always hiding what they really think and how they really talk" and then when QT gives shows you a glimpse you blame him for it.

the language he uses is actually how white people talk, and he's quick to put them in the spotlight over it.

its funny cause you know a grip of white people got uncomfortable when he said it yet 50% of people in the theater have probably rolled it off the tongue in the exact same way.

then Spike Lees bytch ass (make no mistake hes one of my favs) gets mad he uses nikka during black dialogue when nikkas say nikka every day. it would almost be unnatural to hear black folks talkin in Jackie Brown WITHOUT nikka being tossed around. Either you want someone to sugar coat our society or you want them to show it raw and uncut, youre going to have to choose.

Dude always throws the shyt in even when there are no black folks around. I don't care for him or scoreses (sp?). They love to shyt on black folks in there movies.

Because if they're big on authenticity and sorry but that's white white people say. Why sugar coat shyt?

It's like making a hood movie and cutting out all the non-PG shyt. It may seem out of place...but it's not like the director is trying to shyt on folk...he's trying to tell a story...an authentic one at that....and white people shyt on black people behind closed doors...it is what it is.

The amount of white tears garnered from Django Unchained had me on :ooh: status.

Kats called it a hate movie because of all the evil white people that got killed. By that definition all the movies I"ve seen where brothers and sisters got killed early just to satisfy having a black person in the film are hate movies too. I mean they didn't do anything at all and got axed just to keep it white. Must be a hate movie.:skip:

Speaking of QT

I never understood this part in PF. Bonnie was a black woman too :jbhmm:

It shows his fantasy of being a priviledge white male who is married to a bw being more racist then the average white male. He's the type who hates black people but takes a bm's woman as his trophy to parade around with becauze its for the conquering aspect of it. He definately doesnt see her as his equal but superior. He deals with her like his pet, and would never treat a ww like he would do to his pet negress.

And she dont mind becauze she knows he is racist but only to "those nigraz". She will show her hate and scorn towards bm whenever chance she gets becauze she hates herself and every blsck man she has ever met.

Thats the racial dynamic of most bw/wm relations in a nutshell.

Like 95% of Tarentino movies use the juxtaposition of a bunch of crazy ass holes, discussing fukked up scenarios, the way sane people discuss everyday things.

You got this jackass who went from discussing how great his coffee taste is into how it's annoying to bring a dead guy into his garage because it'd be annoying if his wife saw it.

Remember, a lot of his characters aren't typically likable people even though they have likable traits.

I met the dude, twice, (Once I was drunk and he gave me water ) and I think he's just a weirdo. He's nice, chill, and everything...but he just sees things in an off way.
No doubt this emasculated fakkit come cape for the slave master. Did u cape for Mista Sterling too? :scusthov:
