Good thing I got both prev gen and next gen. Broke azz. Probably had to sell ur prev gen just to get the next genshyt was wack and the only people still playing GTA online are the bums that didn't get the X1 or PS4 at launch.

Man I remember once, I went to Los Santos customs, tricked out my car...so when you leave the garage is coming up and the camera angle changes...man at the edge of the screen I see a leg, arm, and an automatic weapon attached to them...then they start moving forward...4 dudes with automatics, just waiting for me to ride out so they can take my shyt...had me like
...I had a pretty high ranking then...hopped out threw grenades and got the first 3 dudes quick...4th dude just starts lighting my car up on some 
shyt...i kill him...car is just full of holes and smoke...tires all busted out...i spent a few k getting it tricked out...next thing you know some more random bullets start flying at me...hopped in my busted whip and drove off like

The reason why I don't like it is because the whole mode is just a grind. You don't make a lot of money doing activities/missions and its tough to level up because most of the quests don't give you enough RP for the work you have to do. The apartments are useless until the heists are added.
I also hated the character creator in GTA Online. Also after playing awhile you realize there isn't much variety in how your character looks compared to everybody else.
