that's the long term plan putting it into action as we speak....

I'll be in Nairobi Ngong Hills chillin then coming and probably eventually buy a condo in Toronto but for the first part I'll prob be coming back and renting out a spot in the spring to summer.

I'm not about the winter life that's out.
Always wanted to visit Kenya....my first name is Swahili
Africa is the future and I plan on being at the forefront, wether its in lands of my ancestors or not.
Where in Africa would you consider living
Part time hopefully.
inna yard ?:obama:

Depends. I may try to make a move to one of the Multi National tech companies that have operations in Africa. Typically the main countries are SA, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Senegal, and Nigeria from what I have seen.

NY is my home and i dont know if i could ever leave.
My parents are Jamaican but im American. In Jamaica, im a foreigner and they will never accept me as Jamaican.:manny:
thats a fact. My dad Jamaican and I was raise primarily in Jamaican culture but Jamaicans will never accept foreigners even if they have Jamaican parents

Hell some of them consider folks born in Jamaica but left not real Jamaicans. Jamaicans have a poor view of the diaspora despite wanting to claim us when we accomplish things:francis:

Pree dis
Does the diaspora add value to brand Jamaica? - Columns

Do you see India china or even places like DR or Haiti display so much disdain for their children?:francis:
That's why as much as I love Jamaica I don't see myself living there (just visiting)

Unless they find oil or something:lolbron:

Where it's hotter & wetter
I'm from Suriname.
Living here now actually.

The game plan is actually to set up a business that will allow me to travel between the two regularly. Ideally, I'd be able to establish some kind of economic ties that would be beneficial to my community in both countries.
Failing that, I'd live & work in the States and then retire to Suri. My family has a couple of hectares of land we're cultivating, and that'd be the perfect spot to collect my pension & grow old.

I'm just not sure if I'd be able to convince my wife to come with me, she's AA and that complicates things a bit.:jbhmm:

Hell yeah I'd go and live in Ghana, why not?

Mean as soon as I'm done school with a master's or somethunf, it's very likely that I head over there. I'm not a materialist or too into the individualist lifestyle, so it would be no problem. I'm also a minimalist. Power outages may suck but not too bothersome

Like most Caribbeans/South Americans they mostly emigrate to South Florida or New York, that is if they come to the States at all.
The real spot for Suris is The Netherlands since they don't have to deal with the language barrier.
Suri population is only 1/2 a mill and there's about half that amount of Suri diaspora/descent living in Nederland.
Visiting Amsterdam myself this Summer just to check the hype.
