Are you more Hip Hop, R&B, etc??

Heavy 90's hip-hop influence and I listen to a lot of instrumental Electronica (Amon Tobin, DJ Shadow, RJD2, Madlib, Blockhead, etc...)

My specialty is Dark, Grimey beats and hard drums.

My weakness is EQ.

Late 90's NY Hip Hop influence (Primo, Alchemist, Havoc,Dame Grease, etc).

EDIT: I would say my specialty is East Coast, but ever since i started making beats again still trying to figure out what my style is. East coast sound have evolved IMO.

I don't even listen to hiphop/rap like that anymore lol. prolly comprises like 3% of my general listening when I'm not out iwth the boys on the town. I fukk with mostly shoegaze, dream pop, indie pop, black metal...really out there stuff for the common hip hop head. It def gives me a more open selection of samples and not just hte tired soul flippage most boom bap is built on. I would def say my specialty is flippage or finding dope samples. I have issues with finishing beats tho lol.

I really don't have a style imo, if it sounds hot it sounds hot. I do really like clams casino work tho

Started making beats around '06 and untill last year I was strictly making East Coast Sample heavy beats with ALC, Havoc, Sid Roams influence.

Now, Ive been trying to make all types of styles. Ive hardly sampled recently and if I do sample its gotta be one of those when you drop the needle on it. Most of the beats Ive done over the last year have that Wiz Khalifa chilled out vibe to it.
