I think it’s Ernie Isley.

He says Jimi Hendrix. I think Jimi was inventive and ahead of his time but he doesn’t “sound” better than Ernie to me.

Ernie's got some bangers and may be more accessible for some ears, but he didn't change the course of the instrument like Hendrix, Chuck Berry or BB King. Why compare GOATs?
