i have no new friends and the friends i do have i really don't talk to because they have families now or live out of state, doing there own thing and i'm happy for them.
everybody i meet now are just associates that i either work with, say hi or bye too.
Times have change and people have changed and it's hard to find people that's on the same path u are. plus it doesn't help that the internet has destroyed people one on one communications.
every friend somebody knows now are off the net
Making friends is important. How important they become in your life is a completely different matter. We should be networking our talents to each other so we can help one another, then we have gatherings where we intertwine out networks with one another for greater friendships. Not everyone is going to be your best friend but when you think
*hmmm i need my air conditioning fixed* then you remember
O yea, i have a friend or a friend who knows a friend, who can do this you'll feel better then you will taking a leap of faith into the yellow pages hoping you dont get ripped off, friend.
Should have upped the age on the post...But this was my school of thought as well. Most cats are just associates after a certain age. My partner was trying to make a similar move I made. I just was schoolin him to the real pitfalls of that decision.[DOUBLEPOST=1397499885][/DOUBLEPOST]
That's not really a friendship...that's basically analog social networking. Building a base for goods and services...Which is what most adult relationships are built off of.
