I don't know you personally and typing is rather impersonal, so I'm trying my best not to be offensive.

What I will state is: look at the way you asked and worded your question. It comes across arrogantly, void of seriousness. You initial question may appear to many as: I'm so beautiful men think I'm not black, how silly of them anyone else go through this? If so lets sit and talk about ourselves/looks and how ridiculous men are.

I don't have experience with men coming at me sideways or as if I'm an airhead. My aura wards off BS within a 50 feet radius :hmm:

Again, sometimes it's not what's being said but what you project.
EDIT: cosign. samething when people ask you for advice, i always look at how they word their questions and how they react to the advice i give.

but at the end, i say, let her cook

Unfortunate you read it that way. I was trying to open a discussion on that ignorance that is still found in our culture and how it's perpetrated, and also wanted to see if others have experienced this and their thoughts on the situation.

i think you would be better off asking the people who actually say things like that to you, not all of us think like that. It goes both ways as well, I had a female tell me i couldn't be all black because I have really clear skin and she never saw any bumps on my face :what:

I used to (and still do to an extent) get made fun of for speaking proper English, cuz I sound "white". I don't understand....:why:

Da hell is "good" English? :what:

I would have told them "Too bad you can't speak Standard English yourself."
