Short answer...yes. shyt was like this well into the 2000's. Pop music was made for you to dance/sing along to. Not pop pills to. (well at least do coke to).
But social media fukked the party/club game up. Everything became a meme or a flex and people stopped just having fun.

The wild thing is in the 80's damn near every city had a "dance show" of some sort. But yeah, I'm in my 30's and even the bars played music/had dance floors. There's not even new dances to do besides TikTok shyt...and people ain't doing them unless someone's recording.

I personally only used to dance when doing so with a chick post the mc hammer era. Well besides gogo or house clubs.

You could just go up to a chick from behind, dance with her, she’d look back to see if she approves of your looks or not, (green light) then you keep dancing, take her outside to your car or go to hotel and hit with zero words exchanged

Repeat x 2 to 4 times a week every single time you were out.

The movie House Party was actually pretty spot on.

I remember I broke floors in two different rooms and the porch at one party.

Niqqas was jumping and the floor was giving a little.

Here I go.

I was kidding sort of but niqqas got inspired and broke that shyt. The beam cracked and the floor was bouncy (didn't actually go through the floor). MFs ran into the next room, broke that floor, then went and broke the porch. Niqqas actually fell thru the porch.

I think this still happens, well at least in the car, not in the club, well last I heard it was happening in 2015/2016

I think all the videos on TV were "light"
