class of 09, most people didn't have smart phones when I was in H/S.

but it was easier to text someone what the answer was with a regular flip-phone
they fixed the backpack situation right? back in my days, they had nikkas carrying like 50 pds worth of books. :flabbynsick: dont seem like younger brehs are carrying around heavy ass backpacks
they probably found the kindle version

I'm 24 and had more daily homework to do in high school than college. High school assignments were all trivial shyt that you had to hand in the next day :scusthov: College was more open ended papers/projects that I could work on with my own pace (while they still had a due date obviously), as opposed to multiple choice, T/F, short answer questions.

Having to do calculus, economics, lit and accounting homework all on the same night/all do the next day :scusthov:

And don't dare get caught with your phone out, cause if you did  Lucky to get that shyt back at the end of the period.

Yup. Be lazy and find the answers to the homework online, then when you fail the test, act like you dont know why you failed.

One time this girl forgot to silence her phone and a couple minutes into the test the translation started speaking out loud:russ:

Teacher was like:wtf::upsetfavre:
:oprahlol:

I wonder how nikkas in highschool with smart phones don't cheat. I know I would have cheated my ass off.
fr. The reason I made this thead is cause I had a mandarin test, and I didn't have time to study or even look at the damn book this past week, too busy working, but Im like meh, I know a lot of words shouldnt be that hard. about 10 questions in that shyt started looking like the matrix :whoa1:

Im like fukk that, pulled my phone out like :guilty:

I didn't get one wrong, aced the test no problem, I was surprised how easy it was. On the way home Im like wtf, how do kids now a days do it, it must be easy as hell.

I dont plan on making it a habit, obv I want to learn the language I pay money for this shyt, BUT if I get stumped on a hard question my phone may come out. :scheme:

:flabbynsick:

i graduated hs a few months ago and we still use those in calculus

I wonder how nikkas in highschool with smart phones don't cheat. I know I would have cheated my ass off.

i never cheated cause like someone above said you gotta show your work and it takes way too long to try to hide your phone while typing the equations out into wolfram alpha. not to mention my school had some shytty mcdonalds wifi connection so you aint connecting to no websites :mjlol:

oh and for exams they just tell you to put your phone into a bucket at the front of the class. if it rings during the exam, well  and you get an automatic 0 :skip:

technology is a double edged sword brehs :mjcry:

For math at least they make you show your work. You can't just pull an answer out your ass unless it's multiple choice. Even then some teachers want to still see how you got the answer.
yup

if you actually know the shyt you're a lot faster than some idiot trying to type 3 characters at a time in an iPhone while the proctor's not looking (you think it's that quick trying to input a punch of shyt with exponents and nested brackets, etc., no)

how long ago did you get out of school you sound stupid af

of course someone's looking at the class for suspicious activities

the way the average high school math/science test is designed you might have like 3/4 easy questions that you can solve if you studied and 1/4 hard questions that require thinking (mostly stuff you haven't been exposed to in class/homework)

if you're the dumbass trying to hide a phone you won't even get through the 3/4 easy part, even if you cheated perfectly you're getting a dead average score or barely passing
them knowledge questions were always worth like a point each. while the application and thinking questions would be far more worthwhile

You can fake the funk on homework, but homework usually accounted for maybe 20% of the overall grade. In my math classes we were not allowed to use calculators and if we needed to the teacher would erase the memory of the calculator prior to exam. For all other courses no supplementary technology was allowed.

Edit.

And I never bothered to cheat because I'm above that.

Despite all of the shyt that's at our disposal with Google and whatnot, its also a matter of time management. If you're trying to nab an answer or two during a test, you're spending a significant amount time just looking for the right link. Then for language tests, there are many times where the "direct translation" isn't taking into account the various sentence structures that are based on context and other factors.

I got a Chinese minor, trust me, ain't no Google or app going to help me during a test unless I just need to know a word or two :heh:
