KD have potential to break every scoring record in the regular season, but when the defenses get tight in the playoffs KD fold, Kobe can avg. 25 today vs. Grizz with just post ups, Kobe had NO WEAKNESSES...i can assure you one thing, they wasn't going to put Lee on him in the post, that's fukking disrespectful

basically.

foh nikka, Kobe played more playoff games than KD, they have been blowouts when Kobe sat out 4th quarters and his avg went down...

Like which ones? In most of the blowouts, it was Kobe's team getting blown out :AA:

Durant scores more shoots better, yet somehow, through whatever bullshyt filter you idiots throw up, Kobe is a better scorer. :AA:

I think you just explained a part of it yourself.

I don't think people (including you) take into account that the difficult / circus shots Kobe takes / makes is actually a part of his make up. It makes him dangerous at ALL TIMES because you never know when he might throw up a shot that ISN'T EVEN LOGICAL, it'll STILL GO IN, and cost you a Championship...

Until KD gets swarmed with triple and quadruple teams in the NBA finals by a defense the caliber of those 08 celtics, and STILL give them hell, I don't wanna hear nothing bout KD being a better scorer than Kobe.

People always talk about Kobe's lower than excellent shooting efficiency... Well I just explained how that's a part of who he is, taking wild shots that other people don't take, but the THREAT of him being able to make them opens things up for his teammates.

Just compare Lebron last year VS San Antonio, and Kobe in 2008 vs the celtics....

Kobe literally got Double / triple teamed EVERYTIME HE TOUCHED THE BALL.... Pop left Lebron Wide open purposely...

I know this thread aint about Lebron, but that just shows you the attention Kobe gets and its partially due to him taking wild shots (He's not a stat padder that isn't going to take a shot just so his % doesn't go down, ala LeFraud)...

And besides all that:

List of National Basketball Association players with most points in a game - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kobe's resume of top scoring games shyts on everyone besides Chamberlin, and who cares about him.

People were throwing parades because LeFraud score 61, when Kobe scored 62 in 3 quarters.... Could've easily had 2 80 point games in his career, or at least 70.... Jordan doesn't even have one. I can argue Kobe is a better scorer than Jordan based off this alone.

Kobe played way more games than Jordan yet Jordan has 14 more 50 point games. I'll give Kobe the 81 against the Raptors in a meaningless game. But Jordan is a way more prolific scorer and efficient. There is no arguing that.

Out here in my damn drawls
I'm sorry, I didn't realize we're looking at total points.

If they were bums, how did they beat Kobe regularly in scoring?

You crumbs love to point out how Shaq was the dominant force on the team (and he was) but it's amazing that Kobe was able to keep pace with those bums in scoring and still manage to feed the big dog :sammy:

You do realize that Kobe attempted more shots than Shaq in their last 4 years together right? He avg. 21 attempts those 4 years and avg. 27 ppg and won 0 scoring titles. Meanwhile KD avg. 19.5 attempts per game the last 4 years and avg. 29 and has 3 scoring titles to show for it aka more than Kobe has for his entire 18 year career, including 10 years without Shaq.

133 40 point games

24 - 50pt games

4 50+pt games in a row

81

62 in 3qtr

5 60pt games

12 40point games in PO

avg 35.4pts for a season

Jordan

Jordan has 34 50pt games - 7 of those games were playoff games.... I believe Kobe has one 50 point game in the playoffs.

Jordan has 172 40pt games - 30 of them were in the playoffs (More than double Kobe's output)

Jordan averaged 37.1 in 1987, making him and Wilt Chamberlain the only players in NBA history to score over 3,000 points in a season season. He also recorded 200 steals and 100 blocks that season, making him the first player to ever do so, since blocks were recorded.

Not even Wilt Chamberlain scored consecutive 50 point games in a playoff series. Jordan did it in 1988....his team won both games, oh and he shot 43-80.

When Doug Collins moved Jordan to pg in the 1988-89 season, Jordan had 15 Triple-Doubles, including a streak of 10 out of 11 games.

10 scoring titles. Nuff said.

He was the scoring champion, but he was also a loser............Like The Wrong Answer and Cousin Skeeter :flabbynsick:

About time you kobestans admitted this. His team was ass when he won the scoring titles. Jordan won scoring titles and championships. When kobe won the scoring title he was getting knocked out in the first round.

Jordan was winning scoring titles at 35. Kobe ?

Jordan was putting up 50 points at age 39. When was kobe's last 50 point game?

And see the post above. Kobe can't be considered a great scorer when he doesn't show up in the playoffs. His stats come against garbage teams.
