Question, why is JR Smith still a starter, let alone even getting playing time?

Brah stop it. JR shooting like 34% from the field. He not a better shooter than Wade at this point.

thank you. Wade plays 7 minutes less but avg are better than Smith across the board except 3pt %. Wade 32%, JR 34%. nikkas must dont watch games. as faded as Wade is, he is a lot better player than J.R. which I must admit is much to my surprise considering how good J.R. was two years ago. it seems and his clock has sped up and surpassed Wade's.

Cause wade cant handle starter minutes, plus nobody is even defending him at the 3 line, and bron needs spacing

you dont have to START to have "starters" minutes and you dont have to come off the bench to have bench minutes. with IT back, Wade should start. I hear you about the spacing but J.R. aint getting it done. I agree with @Supreme Leader Reinscarf that Baze is actually better at this point. not sure if J.R. has gotten old overnight.

to think, Cavs couldve gotten Tyreke instead of the Grizz and no matter what you say about good numbers on bad teams, players just dont become more efficient on bad teams. Tyreke is shooting about 40% on 5.5 attempts and his assists to turnovers are the best in his career and he is not even playing heavy minutes. He is a GOOD player despite how bad the team is. he also has always been better than J.R. career wise, its just that J.R. was such a good shooter, especially spot up which is why he essentially replaced Waiters...who pre-injury may be better than J.R. also. I cant explain how J.R. has been so bad this year except for age/lifestyle. :yeshrug:

Earl still has it, he's just a victim of the state the Cavs are in at the moment. He clearly ain't enjoying ball this season. It's no surprise he hasn't been productive either, since he only touches the ball 34 times a game - streaky and temperamental players need to be touching the ball a lot more than that to keep engaged and develop some sort of a rhythm.

:heh:

Wade's averages are better because he touches the ball a lot more and his time of possession is almost three times the amount of JR's (while playing primarily against second units), despite playing less minutes. It seems like you haven't even been watching the games with a post like this.

Wade. People still guard jr regardless If he making them or not. Nobody is gonna guard wade out there regardless

this is a coaching issue. J.R. cant camp out, especially when he aint hittin. Wade still has good cut to the basket game and good chemistry with Bron. if IT is in the lineup, its a matter of getting the right plays to get Wade open while keeping the spacing intact which you will have if you are playing....IT, Wade, Crowder, Bron, and Love. Wade can do so many other things, you dont need five 3pt shooters in the game.

the more and more I think about it, IT4, Frye, BK pick for Kemba, Batum works best for both teams. No way Charlotte lets IT walk...they would pay him MAX.
