No, they needed Love for the spacing he gives Bron to work. The Warriors would have had to respect Love's ability to hit the 3 and couldn't pack the paint and stick to the shooters like they did whenever Bron drove to the rim.

Dudes crazy the warriors would have had to actually guard folks if Love and Irving played. Also the love & James and Irving & James Pick and roll or Pick & pop are some of the deadliest plays in the league.

Don't forget about Love though (Varejao as well if you want). That team beats the Warriors in six.

The thing is with Irving out there Curry would have had to play defense. If nothing else when the Cavs put JR out there they could run Curry through screens. The biggest thing in the finals and playoffs is that Curry didn't have to play defense in any series because pgs were hurt.

OKC is the only team I can see beating them.

Warriors are young. Their core are under contract. If they can get rid of Lee, they gonna have some cap space too. (not much, since Draymond will eat most of that)

Warriors are the new Spurs. Barring injury, they will be contending for years to come.

Curry will be even more emboldened coming off a championship. I can't wait to see what he's like next year. It will be scary :merchant:

Yep. People always play the champs harder and stronger. They want to prove a point. I expect to see some reallll physical play.

MJ said that was the hardest thing about repeating. Those teams play you so much h harder.

Durant and westbrook is coming for what's there's it's time. Scott brooks and perkins aren't stopping them. Get down or lay down nikkas :shaq2:

OKC with a new coach has a chance if they can somehow reign in Sabo & put him at SG when the time is appropriate. They have to establish Durant as the main man & not allow Sabo to shoot more than him anymore.

Naw I don't think they are the Spurs. They don't have anyone that is dominant like Ducan. I think they will be similar to those 70s team like Seattle and Washington. Go to two finals win one.

Too early to tell :sigh:

If they lose Green theyll probably be a 2nd round exit

If Klay can stay consistent andd not fall off each round of the playoffs then i can see them in the WCF in a seven game series against OKC. Klay averaging 20+ each series with Curry giving 30+ is hard to beat.

OKC with a new coach is a scary site :merchant: A Durant full heel turn is near :wow:
