Yaya i know its another religion thread:guilty:, but i did a search and didn't see these topics addressed. A lot of these type of threads end up with trollling and insults so i hope to get some real feedback.
I tried to make the questions specific to a certain group of people but Black/African muslims, hebrews, jews etc can feel free to share your answers and opinions if they apply.

For Black/African christians of HL:

Do you believe Yeshua looked similar to you? Does it matter? Why or why not?

Which specific holy book do you learn from? Do you think it matters? Why or why not?

Do you believe that slave/colonial masters had an impact on your ancestors religious beliefs?
OR
do your beliefs stem from African denominations of christianity?

What do you consider when deciding on the church you attend?

*Side note*
I was raised a christian, but for personal reasons i decided it wasn't the way to go for me. I dont hate christianity or religion, i actually value the good it can do and apply some of its teachings to my life.
I like sharing ideas and questioning all sorts of beliefs, especially my own, so feel free to partake:blessed:

Yes. No it doesn't matter technically from a Christian perspective, but in reality it does matter because whites tried to claim Jesus as their own, and also state that blacks have been cursed since Ham, basically our condition is biblical

Which specific holy book do you learn from? Do you think it matters? Why or why not?

This can only be answered from an individual perspective, but for me I take it as a book to learn things from. I don't believe in slaves obeying your masters, I do believe in treating everybody as your brother

Do you believe that slave/colonial masters had an impact on your ancestors religious beliefs?
OR
do your beliefs stem from African denominations of christianity?

Yeah of course, slave masters had an impact, we was worshipping nature, now we worshipping a white man with blond hair :what: Christianity isn't an "African" religion, it was originally a Hebrew Judaic offshoot, and then got spread to the world, whether Christ was white or black, it was HEBREW in origin

What do you consider when deciding on the church you attend?

:what:

I guess i should've asked what particular religion you subscribe to.

The question about "what you consider when deciding.." was asked because some believers choose their churches based on denomination, race of congregation, influence in the community, family, the pastor/preacher, the women (or men), times of service, location etc.
I'm curious as to how posters decide who will preach to them

When i asked about "which holy book..." i meant do you read king james, the qu'ran, new american, new international etc...?
I also know there have been previously hidden or undiscovered books relating to the bible as well

Thanks for the response:salute:

1) I guess you could call me a deist. I believe in God, a higher power, the Great Spirit, intelligent design, etc etc, but really subscribe to any religion.

2) I don't believe in any "holy" book. I believe the Torah, Bible, and Qu'ran all have good and bad things. I think kosher/halal is good, I don't think Canaanite genocide or jihad is good. I believe you should give to Caesar what is Caesar's, but I don't believe you should obey your slave master/conqueror, we are all men of free will.

I don't know if Yeshua looked similar to me. But I know he didn't have no blonde hair and blue eyes.

Holy Book- Holy Bible. I believe it's give the divine revelation of the true God.

Yes, slave masters had influence on their religious beliefs. I'm not of the school though that says "Thank God for slavery or we'll never heard Christianity". Christianity was in Africa before it was in Europe.

I'm Baptist. I know of denom. like AME who have that influence. But Baptist were very Afrocentric which many don't know. That's why many Baptist churches have "Missionary" in it. Because the Black church was sending missionaries over to Africa.

What aspects of demonic culture are you currently involved in that make your relationship with God shaky?

lol,

Whats in scripture and what man does are different. When you put your face in the good book and not the external ceremonies, traditions that men have created around what Christ taught, you learn more.

So i ask. What demonic is this man doing, thats made the responsibility of morality so heavy that he has to isolate himself from his blessings to feel relieved.

You can get p*ssy and feel relieved.. or you can get an asian massage (bet u know about those).

It's probably hard for him to identify because he knows that to practice Christianity in America is just ignoring too much fukkkery that has happen in the name of Christ- to the people who looked most similar to Yeshua

So if "they" lied about his appearance, do you think theres a chance they lied about aspects his life?

Which specific bible?I I ask because different bibles have "small" differences which could lead to major differences in interpretation

Yes, slave masters had influence on their religious beliefs. I'm not of the school though that says "Thank God for slavery or we'll never heard Christianity". Christianity was in Africa before it was in Europe.
Do you believe parts of christianty came from other/older african belief systems aswell? Or are you saying christianity was always "christianity" and didnt borrow from anything else but still came from africa?

I'm Baptist. I know of denom. like AME who have that influence. But Baptist were very Afrocentric which many don't know. That's why many Baptist churches have "Missionary" in it. Because the Black church was sending missionaries over to Africa.
I didn't know this. So if christianity was in parts of africa before america, shouldn't Africans be sending missionaries to the western world instead?.

In your opinion, what makes this good book better than others? Is it jesus?

Or i should ask, what version do you put your face in and why? What makes it better than the qu'ran or torah?
I am going somewhere with this, but i'd like a general idea of how/why a lot of us choose one system over others
