Get in good with your supervisor and or manager. Don't kiss his/her ass but you wanna make sure if something goes down he/she can always vouch for you.

  • report to work on time
  • do whatever your job entails to completion
  • take only the alloted time for your lunch break
  • don't gossip
  • clock out at your appropriate time (if you're hourly)
  • don't talk shyt about co-workers or management to ANYONE that works with you
  • keep your social network accounts private, and don't talk negatively about work on them.
  • DO NOT add co-workers to your social network accounts
  • practice good personal hygiene.
  • make sure your uniform or work clothing is clean and not wrinkled. send your shyt to the cleaners, if you can afford it.
  • do your best and go above and beyond sometimes
  • don't send personal emails on your work account
  • smile, be happy, and learn to not show anger or disgust on your face. hide your true feelings.
  • don't talk about your personal life, religion, politics, or anything race related with your co workers.
  • DONT fukk anyone at your company. *unless your company is HUGE and the person that you wanna fukk is not in your department or building*

Cosign what Steve said about sending shirts to the cleaners. On a typical workweek, I only use three shirts since we're casual on Friday and I work at home on wed. It cost less than $3 to get those shirts dry cleaned. That nothing. Especially if ur like me and HATES ironing.

Co-signage. Also:

-realize in the first couple of weeks, no one is your friend. People are creating their angles.
-dress for the position above you, not the one u have.
-realize that any position is temporary (ie you get canned or its a career step forward). Keep u on ya feet.
