You are full of sh*t. You not speaking facts. I didnt say they weren't cursing in the 80's. I said cursing all over records (Meaning the whole album , nearly every song, using the most obscene profanity) was not the norm. Most rappers in the 80;s were still making albums that u could play in front of ya parents. The Parental Advisory sticker was just becoming the norm in the early 90's, prior to that you hardly saw the sticker...You just saw a warning.....The Parental Advisory sticker on a record was a big thing at one point thats why Kane spoke about it on Heavy D's song Don't Curse. LL Cool J's 2nd album was the first record I remember having the removable sticker.....Neither NWA nor Slick Ricks first album had the PA sticker....It just had the removable warning. Rapperes would curse but it would be a few songs here and there not the whole album........ Once the 90's kicked in the Parental Advisory sticker started popping up and cursing all over records started becoming the norm. Big daddy Kanes 2nd album had curses but still didnt have the sticker just the removable warning...and he only had a select amount of songs that were cursing...he wasn't doing it wreckless like NWA and 2 Live Crew. Thats why I said NWA and 2 Live Crew were the top dogs in that area.......IF IM WRONG THEN U TELL ME WHO THE FUK WAS CURSING AS WRECKLESS AS NWA and 2 Live Crew IN THE LATE 80'S????????? That wasn't the norm dummy....so when Quik came out and his first song on his album was all about Sweet Black P*ssy...He fell in that category.
by this cursing all over songs logic.....then any nikkas with pianos in their songs similiar to mozart:comeon: curse words mean nothing. The complete package is what matters

Kanye West had co producers too tho.

hell... most of his beat were not made by just himself

even if that wasn't the case, West was never really on the level of Dre was at in 88 to 93
:ehh: completely agree with everything you just said. and thats why i say DJ Quik >>>> :manny:

DJ Quik uses like 3 or 4 instruments in all of his beats. He too repetitive to be as good as West or Dre beat wise and West raps circles around DJ Quik.

DJ Quik vs Daz or Warren G would have been more debatable.

U see...Now u just babbling, you not building. My dude, I was 12 years old in 1991. No normal 12 year old is breaking down music like some nerd on a messageboard. At 12 in 1991 the vulgar talk was new and entertaining. My down south cousins were into Quik, not anyone I knew in NY. So because they were into it, I got into it. And they were only into it because of the song Sweet Black P*ssy....They liked singing the verses because it was vulgar. They weren't breaking the music down like some weirdo.

consequence and big sean are responsible for too many of kanyes verses for me to give him credit. yeezus might be the only thing fully written by him and thats why its ass. and for you to say he only uses 3 instruments i can tell you have never heard any of the albums in full :camby:dj quik is the king of real instruments. go back and listen to rhythmalism

Kanye doesn't even write his own damn rhymes :beli:

West had co writers.

either way, West rhymes and beats > DJ Quiks

West also influenced the game more when u think about it. West along with Just Blaze had EVERYBODY doing that chipmunk soulful shyt in the early and mid 2000's and his rapping side opened doors for successful acts like Drake . Only west coast dudes and West haters would disagree with that. hell, West even got Mob Figaz out in the west coast rapping over soulful chipmunk
