You work at a dead end job, get crap wage which is just enough to pay your monthly expenses. You can't save money for emergency days. You can't go shopping for nice clothes cause you're broke as a joke. There's no room for advancement, you hate everything about your job. The job affects your mental health. It affects you when you leave to go home and you dread waking up in the morning to go back to work. There's no flexibility, you have no weekends cause you're working. You can't go out late and you can't make long term plans cause the hours fluctuate every week.

But if you quit, you will have no roof over your head. But you've worked there for 3.5 years.

Do you quit or stay?

service industry? If so, these corps don't give a fukk bruh-

Breh' you got to make it happen. Pull out that notebook, jot your goals down and put that time-stamp next to each goal. You can do it breh, don't quit if anything let them clip you but don't even do nothing to let them clip you, I mean if they release you - u always get that unemployment. Pick 1 skill set, you always knew you can do it --

Spotlight on you - Go for it

Stay there and look for another job. If you quit and get another interview later they will want to look into prior work history. You really can't omit 3.5 years of work experience. When they do call your former employer you want a good reference.

I've been there and quit, but I had savings and wasn't living check to check, if your money is tight, you need to be looking for a job ASAP, any moment you have free you need to be networking, emailing, connecting, etc. You do t know how long it will take you to find a job, so keep the one you have while you look

I've looked for other jobs. I just graduated college and I'm looking for something in my field. It's not happening so far.

I would stick it out if I wasn't here for 3.5 years. And I can't go look for another job in a similar role. I just can't do this job anymore. My job relies on helping customers, and my patience has ran out.

It's to the point where I get angry and irritated and snap at the customers cause I just can't do it anymore. I can't fake a smile and put up a front. It's getting pretty bad.

Breh, i was in the exact same situation. Graduated from school, couldnt get a gig in my field so i took a job at Lowes...worked there close to 2 years hit my boiling point at age 25. I had some words with the store manager and my boss, and on the humble i punched out at lunch and never came back.

Catch is, i was working 2 other part time gigs. That were also bullshyt and paid even less so they kind of insulated me, but the clock was ticking. It Took 2 months and came down to the wire with me almost getting the lights cut off and kicked out my crib, but a lil bullshyt temp gig came thru to hold me over.

Probably thee smartest thing i did for my career ever, sometimes i dont perform unless my back is to the wall and im forced to look for a gig. But in your case u dont have a side gig, so id advise against it.

Put yourself on a quota to apply for 2-3 gigs a day. Dunno where you live so i cant speak to the job market, but 10-15 apps a week 40-60 a month...thats what i did, someone will eventually give you a chance.

Honestly it won't happen in todays society

i have notice since 2006 companies have went on from just having a college degree to having also at least 5 years experience in that field.. This how u weed out people unless u got a hook up

do u got wife/kids

No kids or wife (thankfully) .. But I'm the one that pays the rent at home, plus my own expenses. My brothers and my mom live with me and they help out with some of the bills.

:to:

I feel like such a loser cause people I know have been so successful while I've been rotting away.
