I actually think what shes done really hasnt been duplicated at all...what other major rnb artist who was VOCAL focused wadded into hip hop in this level? mariah had an amazing run

I'd actually argue she has one of the most underrated pens / discographies in all of music.
Not sure if there's another singer who's blended hip-hop alongside high-tier R&B vocals quite as well as her.

Problem is, the people who weren't there, are always the ones trying to rewrite history they weren't even around for. It's corny and it's trash. But this is the kinda sh*t you see with the casuals online all the time now.
One of my favorite Mariah songs is "I'll Be Loving You Long Time", and that was when she was out of her "musical prime"
Aw man, this post reminds me how much of a fan my momma was of early Mariah. We'd be in the car with her after school, and that 1st tape stayed in the deck lol.
