A lot of Hiphop promotes senseless killings and a lot of other ignorant actions. For most of older cats, it's just lyrics and we don't think much of it, but to a lot of these younger dudes, these lyrics are scriptures. They worship these rappers.

A lot of our people are depressed and don't know it. We deal with so much, racism, poverty, dysfunctional family, the hood. So much angry built up, mix that with listening everyday to audio scriptures that say kill anyone that crosses you. You're already on edge. I've been there.

They like to call it Black on Black violence, but it's not a race thing, it's a poverty thing. Blacks that earn decent wages commit less crime than any demographics.
