The lack of a response to this thread is why I will always say that the love 2Pac gets is absorbed in hype. When Eazy passed that was big to me but it seemed like no one cared.....and 18 years later he we are again.
I dont know about anyone else but I actually did think dude was 15 when he came out....when he passed and they gave his real age that blew my mind.
Let me start by saying R.I.P. to Eazy E outta respect. But I think you are underestimating 2pac's influence and reach.
2pac had a stronger presence during his life than Eazy E while Eazy was alive. I was just listening to a Lil Cease interview (with Whoo Kid) where he was saying that where ever they would tour they would see people with Thug Life tatted on them and they were ridin' with Pac. I never heard any stories like this about Eazy. (Not saying that they dont exist tho)
Eazy pioneered gangsta rap but the music didn't talk about building as a community. It talked about the opposite. Pac connected with people because he primarily talked about building. That's why people still talk about him today.
