For you youngbloods, she was the heir apparent on Meet the Press after Tim Russert, even filled in for him, but cacs gonna cac and they gave the job to the "white...i mean right look" candidate after Russert died. The guy they picked fell on his face and so did the next guy. I stopped watching Sunday news shows because they wouldn't give Ifill a job.
They fukked her out of the Face The Nation job and the replacement ended up leaving after maybe a year or two.

I heard a earlier... messed up that she was in her early 60s. I thought she was in her late 40s. She held it down during Obamas terms. I only knew about her when I saw her as the moderator during the presidenal debates. She made her mark as a political journalist for black women. She will be missed. To me, she did what Melissa Harris Perry wasn't able to do.
