Yo that's trippy, literally the morning of the day I found out, that song came into my head. I always liked the track, that whole wave of random southern slash mid west one hit wonders had some bangers, Huey's was one of them
Sad. I had no idea he was that young when he made Pop Lock & Drop it. He had to been like 17-18...only 2 years older than me but that song used to get house parties cracking.
That's the saddest part about it is that apparently he had a 13yr old daughter. I pray she doesn't fall into a dark place. A lot of us grow up hoping to see 21 and at best 25 when we come up from a certain area of our city. At a certain age your whole mentality changes and you move different and to make it to that 3rd decade and be murdered cuts deep.
