Goddamnit man

I lived in Harlem for almost 30 years and he is a personal friend of mine. We met on some Hip Hop shyt and became friends outside of the music. He let me hang out with him and Bobbito on the CM Famalam show and we eventually became neighbors living in the same walk up.
The funniest, chill guy who loved music. All kinds of music not just Hip Hop. We stopped speaking as much when he moved the NJ but RIP to my brother Sear! You will be missed and your DJ legacy on Shady is monumental. You held good Hip Hop down. Where My Catz at?!

Lord SearI remember he and Jean Grae got a good check from Rockstar Games for doing voice work on a game called State of Emergency.Damn. I met Sear in 2000 or 2001. I was working at a bank in downtown Manhattan, and one of my clients was Jonathan “Shecky Green” Schecter from The Source and Game Records. One day Shecky came in with Sear and asked me if I could help him with something. I think he was doing some business with Shecky because I remember him coming in with a nice check from him once or twice. Really down to earth guy, we spoke about hip hop that day and he even stopped in a couple of other times after that just to chop it up for a few minutes. It was crazy getting to meet him because I was a big fan of Stretch and Bob so meeting him was a honor. Good dude. RIP
Anna from wOOdside just called. She says Rest in Peace
damn, this brings back GTA 3, game radio memories - RIP
just got hit with a wave of nostalgia several seconds inOh I wanted to ask you was he from over by Goat park? Because when I met him he lived way east on 112th St. Which was like way later after Stretch and Bobbito was over and it was just Bobbito and Sear on WKCR.Funny story!
Anna from Wooooodside was supposed to come smoke with all of us on 97th Street by Westgate one night. I might've been like 13-14 years old, but we all knew who she was from her calling in all the time. We stood out there all night for hours and she never showed. And Sear was like, "She probably didn't come because she's really fat!" And we all started dying. One of the funniest dudes you'd ever meet.
I went to Holy Name (UWS peeps know what it is), so I knew Sear from way back, because my older brother was running with CM. As I got older and got into graff, it was like an honor for them to tell me that I could throw CM up too. That was a big deal around my block. You were either down with CM or 456. Everything else was corny. Sear used to give us mad free t-shirts, stickers and Hip Hop merch from different labels. I got my first job in music, up at Sony, through people I met through him. I have a million Sear stories and they're all mad funny and from some of the best times I ever had as a kid. He was a special dude.
RIP.

So many memories cracking up to the rude jude show and the early 00s Sirius XM days. RIP man
