Been listening to dude since this thread. I love this. Now I'm hooked...who else should I check out who makes music like this? I'm looking for mostly Instrumental albums but will check out anything like this.

I'm familiar with dudes like Fat Jon, DJ Krush, DJ Shadow, BLockhead...but this Japanese Jazz Hip Hop shyt is awesome.

:feedme:

Uyama Hiroto, collabed with him repeatedly and played instruments on some of his tracks

Emancipator. Nujabes helped him out on his first album by rearranging the tracklist (and inspiring the sound obviously). It's my favorite album of all time, I can listen to it every day and it never gets boring. Pretty much my favorite artist period.
Start with his music in chronological order, you won't be disappointed.

Your Avi confirms you know what you're talking about.

Making a playlist now. Thanks breh.

I haven't been this amped after discovering an artist in this genre since Amon Tobin. This is my go-to genre when I need a break from Hip Hop, or when i don't want to hear any lyrics.

Welcome. We made a whole thread dedicated to this genre of music and continued it from :hamster:

I have so many artists in my old hard drives that were in the same vein but none effected me like Nujabes. He was truly talented and that Samurai Champloo OST has stood the test of time.

Yessir Safe In The Steep Cliffs is a personal classic IMO.

Just to throw a recommendation your way, this artist I've been following for awhile named Jinsang just dropped an album yesterday. I have his track "blue haze" on repeat :wow:
