Seat belt as soon as you get in should be second nature, there isn't anything to even think about here. RIP to him but I hope it serves as a valuable lesson to others.

man living in a fairly rural county I have heard of way too many cases of not wearing a seatbelt and alcohol killing far too many people, have to be on your toes when driving these backroads
