I wouldn't say it was the goat, there was a lot of trash passed off as genius. Had its moments but it died as quick as it came it seemed.

I was reading some of the comments and of course it's littered with

"Addiction is sad, people just need help."

"We will miss you, so sad to see a beautiful talent leave so soon."

Etc.

Rapper dies

"Good riddence." "He was a drug addict anyway." " Piece of shyt thug."

Cacalacas.
Breh that shyt was Goat! between STP, Nirvana, Sound Garden, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam. And quite a few more that was a goat time for White music. The level of talent and consistent song writing hasn't been matched since.

As far as rappers it is a double edged sword. I bet you would be hard pressed to name a rapper that has died and is not mourned by the Hip Hop community. Most of them get memorial songs and tributes. And that is not necessarily the case with white artists.

Who is this white man? More proof that 80% of the coli either whites or suburban c00ns.

Can't speak for anyone else. But I'm from one of the worst hoods in Detroit. My woman is black, my kids are black, And my experience with life is largely shaped by me being black. That never stopped me for recognizing and enjoying good music from any genre though.

A lot that music was bland and annoying bruh. I liked some songs from that Era, I know white people worship those bands and thought they had a movement which was gonna last forever but it died out pretty quick. Quicker than metal/hair bands. I would say 70s early 80s rock was a better white rock era. Wasn't so dreary and pretentious.

I feel you on the 70's and 80's era. I even dig some shyt from the 60's. but the post you quoted was me saying this:

Grunge was the last GOAT genre of white music.

And cacs had every reason to believe they had a movement with those bands. Most of them were anti machine and desired to be underground. It wasn't the bands fault that they made good enough music to top the charts consistently.
Even Jay said something to the effect that the era of music is what blew rap out of the water.

“First we got to go back to before grunge and why grunge happened,” reasons Jay. “‘Hair bands’ dominated the airwaves and rock became more about looks than about actual substance and what it stood for—the rebellious spirit of youth….That’s why ‘Teen Spirit’ rang so loud because it was right on point with how everyone felt, you know what I’m saying?”

“It was weird because hip-hop was becoming this force, then grunge music stopped it for one second, ya know?” he says. “Those ‘hair bands’ were too easy for us to take out; when Kurt Cobain came with that statement it was like, ‘We got to wait awhile.'”

True shyt. They were mad they got popular, especially Nirvana. But just like rappers, a lot of them wanted the fame. After Kobain died, it fell off pretty hard. They definitely had their moment though, and yes it was probably the last great Era for rock music. I don't think I've a heard a good rock song since then.

Theres been a few decent songs but theres no movement, mid 90s rock was the last great rock movement where every group had hits and was selling records...It died off when boy bands starting taking off in the late 90s...
