RIP to a true legend. I read his book last year, he had a full on life and ruined a lot of opportunities through his drug addictions. He was at peace with it all though.

An absolute innovator and his performance at Woodstock is one of the best. Hugely influential on hip hop. Always loved this song growing up.

RIP, was a true pioneer, quite a few cats in multiple genres sharked his style vocally. Was on the drum machine way before that wave hit the 80's too

He was my Pops favorite artist ever. He saw him perform many many times and said he could give you either the best show ever or be so intoxicated he couldn’t perform at all. Was all part of the fun. Have had a ton of his music in my playlists my entire life.
