I always wondered how people actually buy computers at stores. It always felt stupid to me.

Nothing wrong with that...the problem is that Sony Vaios were MacBook prices...I always looked at someone who had them like

Just buy a damn macbook and install windows on it at that point if you are trying to drop anywhere near 1K for a laptop. Their prices started going down recently, but it was too late...the division was already lost YEARS ago.

apparently PLENTY as the shyt was just killing them financially for a long time now.

Why pay 1K for a sony vaio when you can buy a macbook? It just doesn't make much sense...never did and I think MacBooks are overpriced.
