Wendy Williams cries saying that R. Kelly doesn't know how to read or write.

It's difficult to believe that with as much access to education as there is in North America, there are still people who do not know how to read or write. While illiteracy was a phenomenon we can read about in our history books, reading and writing are considered some of the most important tools to learn during childhood development. According to Wendy Williams, R. Kelly may not even know about all the negative press coverage he has been receiving these days with his alleged "sex cult." While the media has been heavily covering any updates in the developing story, R. Kelly allegedly once revealed to the television host that he cannot read, write or add numbers.

Almost ten years ago, R. Kelly revealed that he had an issue with reading, noting that he had only graduated elementary school because of his basketball skills. According to Wendy Williams, the singer still suffers from illiteracy and she also has additionally major secrets about him that she pledges to take to the grave with her. When discussing R. Kelly's current scandal, Wendy broke down in tears at the mere thought that he could not read or write. While the news is certainly surprising, the host claims she has many more stories about him that she was shocked he even told her.

Whatever R. Kelly said to her has to be pretty bad because if it's anything more surprising than the rumors that are already out, we're not sure we even want to hear it. Watch the video below where Wendy makes the claims at the 14:24 mark.

I don't believe it, sorry.

He been said he can't read too well...

He only started being able to read by texting...

The reason why he can't read is because he has dyslexia...

The Confessions Of R. Kelly
“Other kids could read, other kids could write, other kids could spell, they could do math,” he says. “I felt like an alien, I felt like an outcast. I felt like, ‘What is going to happen to me?’ My mother couldn't answer it. My stepfather wasn't really interested in it one way or another. And my brothers and sisters were so young at the time they wouldn't do nothing but tease me about it. I was the ‘dummy’: ‘How you gon’ do this? You can't even read!' ”

He says it's not like he didn't try, and he describes what would happen when he did: “I would always hear scrambled music, like an orchestra going off that didn't know what they was doing. It was so confusing. It was, like, violin's playing ‘I Believe I Can Fly,’ the bass is playing ‘When a Woman's Fed Up,’ the guitar's playing ‘Bump N' Grind,’ the piano's playing a gospel song. And then I would end up getting really sleepy and tired.”

he probably simply has dyslexia

hate to admit it but we in the black community don't believe in such conditions and stuff like mental illness

nikkas running around with autism and we're busy beating them claiming they're acting bad or that the "devil" is in them.

R Kelly was most likely brought up in an old school Jesus will fix everything type of family and they probably never even bothered to get him a diagnosis

If he couldn't sing he'd probably be dead or in jail right now and it would partially be due to his parents not getting him the help he needed when he was a child
