Y'all nikkas and this "white folks do it too" need to stop
That's not what I said. Thus far, we've seen Bill Cosby brought to trial and convicted, his legacy forever ruined by accusations that weren't even proved in the trial that sent him to prison. Multiple white men in high positions within the media and Hollywood - Bryan Singer, Harvey Weinstein, Woody Allen, Matt Lauer, et. al. - have been accused by numerous people of sexual assault, but none of them have seen these allegations dominate the press the way those following the likes of Kelly have. Weinstein is presently on trial for five counts of sexual assault, yet you'd be hard pressed to know that, since what little coverage of it there is has been lost in the accusatory fever that came in the wake of Surviving R Kelly. The idea that the attention given to Kelly isn't a calculated effort to divert attention from the multiple white men whose careers were upended by the #metoo movement is to ignore the dynamic of being black in America and the history of white men never being held to account for their crimes.
