I won’t speak for everyone else, but for me this was known for 23 years. No one investigated it over the last 23 years. It only became something to pursue because of the documentary. That’s why I’m upset and see this being bullshyt.

After paying off that first family, which allowed him to beat his case, things died down. When things come back to life via documentaries, conversations, interviews etc, then shyt happens. Same thing happened to Cosby, Weinstein, Michael Jackson etc. It really doesnt matter HOW it came up, Robert got away with it once and didnt stop. He obviously didnt care so regardless of WHY he currently being charged, the fact that he continued doing what he was doing shows its deserved. You can't tell me he couldnt find a grown groupie whose mouth he could peed in.

My point is that prosecutors office didn’t care either for 23 years and only lumping it on now because it’s politically convenient. They aren’t interested in justice, but instead looking good for the public. That’s my issue.

R. Kelly can rot in prison, but this ain’t justice to me.

He's arguably worse than Epstein from what I've read, he preyed on black girls that wanted to have singing careers... I'm fine with the Feds dropping a prison on him
I don't think you can "rank" shyt at this level. But anyone who thinks his actions were anything less than horrific doesn't know the full extent or is purposely keeping it out their mind.

Rembert Browne the one who really laid shyt bare for me. He linked to this article in the Village Voice that shared all sorts of shyt I knew nothing about. Since then I've had multiple other people confirm that this behavior was known.

"The one young woman, who had been 14 or 15 when R. Kelly began a relationship with her, detailed in great length, in her affidavits, a sexual relationship that began at Kenwood Academy: He would go back in the early years of his success and go to Lina McLin’s gospel choir class. She’s a legend in Chicago, gospel royalty. He would go to her sophomore class and hook up with girls afterward and have sex with them. Sometimes buy them a pair of sneakers. Sometimes just letting them hang out in his presence in the recording studio. She detailed the sexual relationship that she was scarred by. It lasted about one and a half to two years, and then he dumped her and she slit her wrists, tried to kill herself. Other girls were involved. She recruited other girls. He picked up other girls and made them all have sex together. A level of specificity that was pretty disgusting."

"Dozens of girls — not one, not two, dozens — with harrowing lawsuits. The videotapes — and not just one videotape, numerous videotapes. And not Tommy Lee/Pam Anderson, Kardashian fun video. You watch the video for which he was indicted and there is the disembodied look of the rape victim. He orders her to call him Daddy. He urinates in her mouth and instructs her at great length on how to position herself to receive his “gift.” It’s a rape that you’re watching. So we’re not talking about rock star misbehavior, which men or women can do. We’re talking about predatory behavior. Their lives were ruined. Read the lawsuits!"

"And there was a young woman who was pressured into an abortion?

That he paid for. There was a young woman that he picked up on the evening of her prom. The relationship lasted a year and a half or two years. Impregnated her, paid for her abortion, had his goons drive her. None of which she wanted. She sued him. The saddest fact I’ve learned is: Nobody matters less to our society than young black women. Nobody. They have any complaint about the way they are treated: They are “bytches, hos, and gold-diggers,” plain and simple. Kelly never misbehaved with a single white girl who sued him or that we know of. Mark Anthony Neal, the African-American scholar, makes this point : one white girl in Winnetka and the story would have been different.

No, it was young black girls and all of them settled. They settled because they felt they could get no justice whatsoever. They didn’t have a chance."

"Going back a little bit to our original question: You get this tape dropped in the mail …

Well, the tape came a year after we ran the first story. We ran this story and the world shrugged. Associated Press picks it up: “Chicago Sun-Times has reported a pattern of sexual predation of young women by Robert Kelly,” and everybody says, “Ah, well, OK.” Then one day I get this call that says: “Go to your mailbox. There’s this manila envelope with a videotape in it.”

We had gotten one videotape already after the first story, and we gave it to the police. When I say “we,” I mean a roomful of editors sitting around asking, “What is the right thing to do here? This would seem to be evidence of a felony, we should give it to police.” There was one tape, but the police could not determine the girl’s age. The forensic experts they had looking at it said judging by the soles of her feet, they could tell she was 13 or 14 at the time this tape was made, but we can’t identify who the woman is. Videotape No. 1.

There were tapes on the street. And I had heard of another video tape with a girl who was part of an ongoing relationship. This is the girl who was in the tape that was in the lawsuit.

And some 40 people testified that it was her?

sun_times_screencap.jpg

Yeah. Coaches, best friend’s parents, pastor, half the family, grandmother, aunt — but the mother and father never testified, the girl never testified. When we wrote our story about the tape, the girl and mother and father took a six-month vacation to the south of France. We’d been to the house several times. We’d rung the doorbell. This was an aluminum-siding, lower-middle-class house on the South Side, with a station wagon which is 13 years old — you know what I mean? And now they’re in the south of France. And one time the dad got a credit as a bass player on an R. Kelly album. He didn’t play bass.

The situations are incredibly complicated, and sometimes there is an element of, “We’re gonna exploit this situation for our favor.” That doesn’t mean that it’s legal or it’s right or that girl wasn’t harmed. It tore that family apart."

"The other thing, the thing that people seem to not know: She was fresh out of eighth grade in this tape.

Fourteen or 15. That puts a perspective on it. "

It's all the same. I expect to see other people arrested or this is just clout chasing under the guise of justice.

you aren't mad at r kelly for fukking kids?:what:

R Kelly deserves punishment, but a lot of their parents sold their daughters to the highest bidder,

So why are you mad at the documentary maker and not at the parents and rkelly

Cause she is a race traitor and needs her body sent to a damn volcano.

I don't get it. Rich folk always make their cases go away. It takes massive public notoriety to have even a prayer of getting justice against a rich man. They didn't arrest Epstein with the new charges until a documentary came out. They didn't arrest Weinstein until massive social media unrest.

So I don't get it. One of the rich guys with sick criminal behavior FINALLY has to face the consequences of actions that we all full well know he did....and instead of being mad at all the rich fukks who keep getting off, y'all are mad at the people who made something happen so at least one of them has to pay?

Rich people don't get in trouble for shyt. Even rich black men. That's BEEN known. I made a list once on how different rich folk are treated from the other 99% of Black men in this country.

Money and influence.

R. Kelly molested numerous high school girls, was basically public about it with Aaliyah, and was on video pissing on a 14-year-old with dead eyes and he ain't never served a single day.

Marvin Harrison shot a brother, there were witnesses, te killed the witness, he still ain't even faced charges.

Tupac shot two police officers while being openly associated with gangbangers. Those officers were asking for it and Tupac deserved to be acquitted, but you KNOW that no regular brother is getting away with that shyt under those circumstances.

Snoop and his bodyguard killed a dude, regularly bragged about his gang associations, got off.

Lawrence Taylor had sex with a 16-year-old prostitute, claimed he thought she was 19, didn't do a single day.

Donte Stallworth killed a man while driving drunk and only got 24 days.

Jayson Williams shot and killed a man, tried to cover it up, then claimed it was an accident and only got 18 months.

Don King stomped a brother to death and only did 4 years.

Pacman Jones has been arrested 74,318 times by now and only done 2 days total.

Alcee Hastings took a $150,000 bribe when he was a federal judge, got off because his co-conspirator took the heat and refused to testify against him, then the co-conspirator got pardoned by Clinton on his last day in office and Hastings got elected to the House of Representatives. :dead:

Kobe just needed to get high-priced lawyers to dig up personal crap about a girl, pay a little settlement, and his problems disappeared.

Mike Tyson had all sorts of misbehavior get disappeared before he finally caught charges.

Chris Brown beat up Rihanna, pled guilty to a felony, and didn't do a single day. Then he's been in like six more assaults and a hit-and-run since then and still ain't done time.

Women brought cases against Cosby to District Attorneys in 2000 and 2005 and the D.A.'s refused to press charges both times. There were like half-a-dozen other women who had allegations against Cosby decades ago but they were told by everyone that they had no hope going against him.

I still don't know if Michael Jackson really did that shyt or not, probably didn't, but you gotta acknowledge that he was so sketch about sleeping with little boys in his bed that ANY regular Black man woulda caught that sentence with the same evidence.

And I didn't even bring up O.J. :troll:

These guys do NOT play by the normal rules. Anyone who thinks they do is missing how the system really works. :usure:

R Kelly is disgusting, but if people decide cash is enough justice then it is what it is. No do overs. :manny:

Because this isn’t about justice. It’s about clout chasing.

Rich people not facing punishment for their crimes is exactly my point. Justice doesn’t work the same for everyone. I think we are all saying the same thing and all agree (except @Wild self weirdo self).

I wouldn’t say no “do overs,” just stop doing it so you can pat yourself on the back.

Like look at that Bikram guy who was raping the women who he taught yoga too? The LA DA won’t charge him and is allowing him to teach more women around the world in places we have extradition agreements. It’s fukked up.

We can and should hold the wealthy to the same standard as common folk regarding the justice system...

Can we agree on that?

People get paid off everyday. :unimpressed:

If you want to hold the wealthy to the same standards then stop taking their money. :manny:

Start arresting people who do to usurpt justice.
:gladbron:

I'm not satisfied with just r Kelly getting arrested if the charges are accurate. It isn't that complicated. :pachaha:
