I'm not understanding this comparison. Harvey Weinstein has had accusations against him as long if not longer than R. Kelly. Hell Gwyneth Paltrow said herself that when she told then fiance Brad Pitt about what Harvey Weinstein did he went after him on some good boyfriend tough guy stuff and they were engaged in the late 90's. He also has a myriad of witnesses talking about his antics so can we stop pretending like race/power has nothing to do with this discrepancy.

Harvey Weinstein is not in jail right now because he's out on a $1 million dollar bail.

Kelly story would have ever had the interest level it has had he not gotten acquitted (cuz if he gets convicted in 2008-09, he goes to jail and none of the fukkery that has happened since would have ever happened). shyt, when R. Kelly was still being tried, the public made fun of him, but he still had a career. That was another aspect of it.

Years later, Public Announcement came back as a group without him.
Their hits were produced by an entity named "Unohoo" (pronounced "you know who") on a company named Unohoo Records. Other credits for "Unohoo" are named "Kelly Mix", "Kelly G Mix", or "G Kelly Southside Mix".

I"m still not understanding the comparison. Are you saying that the majority of people who watched the R. Kelly documentary didn't know he was acquitted? Or are you saying a documentary is only relevant in a situation like this after a trial has concluded?
