Even sadder that so many black ppl are celebrating & cheering this.
White ppl did not in his life and still will not in death EVER allow, grown-ass on top of the world superstar Elvis Presley, having a 14yr old girlfriend to cloud his name and legacy. EVER. And miss me with the, "well that's bc white ppl have no morals and black ppl do so blah blah blah"
We as black ppl are quick to throw away R. Kelly, Bill Cosby, Michael Jackson the list goes on....any black legend that gets ACCUSED. Rumor or truth, trial or no trial.
If R. Kelly broke the law, then ok he should go to jail. Not arguing against that.
Just disgusting to see so many black ppl excited/happy to see R. Kelly going to prison forever until he dies. This is part of our slave/crab in a barrel mentality of being happy when others who are up high are brought down.
Dude initially went to jail over a freakin Lifetime documentary and never got out for over 2 yrs, even with no trial. That would NEVER happen to a white celeb.
While many of these other black stars y'all flock after, some of them are out there doing dirt. You just don't know about it.

not sure why people have an issue looking at actual charges and understanding the laws of the crime a person was charged with. But I guess just reading the headline is easier.
they wouldn’t of needed RICO and Mann Act in order to convict if the things the headlines said were proven.

I don’t know why people keep pushing in regards to this case that these were children involved. I know it sounds more heinous but if it was children involved he would have been charged for that. It’s a reason they didn’t go with statutory, child molestation and crimes like that…also one of the chicks was 17 and her mother even lied about her age and said she was 18 and signed documents to say she was 18.

The lead attorney broke it down in the youtube you posted but the misuse of the RICO will be the grounds for his appeal. And he has a good chance seeing they never used it this way before and the legal implications of allowing 1 person to be considered a criminal enterprise.
Also the use of the Mann act is crazy. Folks don't realize that pretty much any body, all of your favorite athletes, rappers, entertainers can be charged under the Mann act if they ever flew a woman across state lines for sex. That's crazy.

but I can’t say anything other than the prosecutors did their thing. They dug in and found laws that really didn’t require proof beyond a reasonable doubt where only one or two things needed to be involved to charge. I also don’t know what language they decided to change after the case because it was some language changed involving the charge sheet. Also the whole chick talking about he kidnapped her and held her upstairs even the jury tossed that out.im almost certain he got the kidnapping charge because he told the chick who stole from him to go to the garage. Since that isn’t where she wanted to go and he told her to go there.
