D'angelo for me. Kells is a great song writer but as far as vocals & the ability to play instruments it's D.

To me, D'angelo is like a hybrid of Marvin and Sly and the way he makes music that's reminiscent of music of the 70's but without sounding like he's biting the legends of that era (but showing the influence and continuing sound of a legendary moment in time) is amazing to me

at D'Angelo not being a problem with the production between him and Jay Dee/Dilla they are damn near responsible for the neo soul movement by themselves. Breh had cats like Maxwell scared to drop/pushing their shyt back until after D dropped his projects.R Kelly has more filler than dope shyt. Breh jacked Aaron Hall who previously jacked Charlie Wilson. And thats only 1 indicator of blatant biting.
