Why would the public need to see evidence in a sex trafficking conspiracy?

The Justice Department cannot just assign importance to things based on public interest and outrage, and release evidence in a criminal case, for no other reason than to "shame" people who could be implicated. Think of what a precedent that would set for politicized prosecutions, and releasing evidence. Look at what a debacle the Comey press release was.
